Shannon Bates Named President of Lynn Inn of Court

Harper & Bates LLP is pleased to announce partner Shannon Bates has been elected to serve as President of the Honorable Barbara M.G. Lynn American Inn of Court, which held its annual kickoff meeting on August 23.

Bates first joined the Lynn Inn as a Barrister when the organization was founded. She returned as a Master of the Bench in 2017 before being promoted into leadership, serving as Treasurer, Secretary and Vice President before her election to President for the 2021-2022 term.

There are more than 400 chapters in the American Inns of Court system, which promotes a legal profession and judiciary dedicated to professionalism, ethics, civility, and excellence. The Lynn Inn of Court is celebrating its 10th anniversary year and is part of the Lynn Inn Alliance of 27 intellectual property law-focused American Inns of Court around the country and in Japan. The Lynn Inn’s 120 members include judges, lawyers, law professors, and law students.
