Shannon Bates Elected Secretary of Lynn Inn of Court

Harper & Bates LLP is pleased to announce partner Shannon Bates has been elected to serve as Secretary of the Honorable Barbara M.G. Lynn American Inn of Court.

After being invited to join the Lynn Inn as a Master of the Bench in 2017, Bates was quickly promoted into leadership, serving as Treasurer during the 2018-2019 term before her election to Secretary for the 2019-2020 term. As Secretary, Bates will work closely with the other officers of the organization to oversee its administration and ensure its successful operation.

The Lynn Inn of Court was formed eight years ago and is part of the Linn Inn Alliance, which is comprised of 25 intellectual property law American Inns of Court around the country and in Japan. American Inns of Court are designed to improve the ethics and skills of both the bench and the bar and are comprised of judges, lawyers, law professors, and law students.
