Lucky No. 7: HBC Partner Austin Champion Honored by Texas Rising Stars

Harper Bates & Champion LLP (HBC) is pleased to announce founding partner Austin Champion has been named to the 2019 Texas Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers. It marks the seventh time Champion has been recognized by Texas Rising Stars.

Super Lawyers is a rating service based on peer nominations that are supported by interviews, independent research, data verification and good-standing review. Only 2.5 percent of lawyers in the State of Texas are selected to the Rising Stars list each year. Rising Stars recognizes attorneys who are 40 years or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. Those selected are included in lists published both nationally in Super Lawyers Magazine and regionally in publications to serve as a resource for attorneys and consumers seeking outstanding legal counsel.

“I am honored to be recognized among other emerging attorneys in Texas,” Champion said. “I am appreciative of my peers who hold me in this regard, and I am humbled to be listed for a seventh time.”

Champion's practice is devoted to complex, high-stakes business and IP litigation. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and earned his law degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where he served as an articles editor on the SMU Law Review Association and graduated with honors.
