Harper Bates & Champion (HBC) is pleased to announce the addition of business-minded attorney Jonathan Hawkins, who joins the firm as Of Counsel. Hawkins has 15 years of experience, with more than a decade of experience working as a c-suite executive and general counsel, leading companies and legal departments.
“We’re eager to introduce HBC clients to Jonathan as we’re confident they’ll benefit from his experience helping run companies as general counsel,” HBC partner Austin Champion said. “He aligns with HBC in understanding his clients’ business goals and takes a proactive approach in counseling clients on ways to achieve those goals. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have him as we expand our corporate law bench.”
Hawkins focuses his practice on business, corporate and real estate law, and serves clients in a number of industries including manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, omni-channel and online retail, real estate development, and hospitality.
Prior to joining HBC, Hawkins was vice president and general counsel for KidKraft.
“I’ve been fortunate to know Austin for some time and he and the rest of the firm made the transition very smooth during what has been an abnormal year with the COVID-19 pandemic,” Hawkins said. “HBC is doing really great work for their clients and I’m excited to help grow those businesses.”
